Product Projects Completed
The following projects have been completed with the help of the 27M Technologies:
Digital Convergence Terminal
Our team worked on hardware design, driver development, DVB for Linux implementation, Common Interface development, Multiple front-end support, window system customization, Conax conditional access porting, and other tasks for a digital convergence product, integrating IP and broadcast technologies. Product features include streaming IP video, Internet browsing, PVR, and embedded conditional access (Conax). Key technologies used include Mozilla, MHP, RealPlayer, MPEG-4, The X Window System, Linux on x86 and the Nucleus real-time OS on the MIPS architecture.
Mobile Integrated Digital TV Receiver
Our team contributed to Linux integration in a diskless environment, application development, and service navigation for an internet-enabled mobile digital TV receiver. Product features include IP over DVB, internet browsing and GSM connectivity. Key technologies used include Mozilla, IP over DVB and Linux on the PowerPC CPU.
Digital TV Receivers
Our team provided hardware design, system software optimization, test and verification, and middleware porting (OpenTV, MediaHighway and proprietary middlewares) for several generations of digital TV receivers, incorporating embedded conditional access (Viaccess, Nagra, Betacrypt and Irdeto) as well as Common Interface solutions. Key technologies used include pSOS on the ARM architecture, RTXC on the Motorola 68k architecture, and the various conditional access systems.
Windows and PC Technology
Our team has designed and implemented various Personal Computer BIOS technologies like Plug'n'Play and Power Management, as well as drivers for Windows-95/98 and Windows NT for Thermal and Fault Surveillance, Power Management and Desktop Mangement systems (DMI) including features for remote system upgrade.
