HDS-100: Now put into Production

27M Technologies has announced that the new HDTV Solution HDS-100 is now put into production. The HDS-100 is a turnkey HDTV Set-top box aimed at cost and quality conscious manufacturers and retailers.

The HDS-100 is accessible to all 27M Technologies existing customers as well as new customers wishing to deploy a fully conformant turnkey HDTV product. The solution allows customers to take full advantage of the high resolutions and screen sizes of the latest LCD TVs, plasma TVs and projectors. The HDS-100 supports MPEG-2 HDTV, Terrestrial or Satellite, with DVI-out and HDCP is obtainable as well. Moreover, the HDS-100 has embedded Conax or Irdeto Conditional Access systems, and can be adapted to other CA systems as well.

In short, the HDS-100 will be followed by HDS-400 supporting H. 264 HDTV video encoding and DVB-S2 modulation. Furthermore, it is fitted with Common Interface, embedded Conax or Irdeto, and can be adapted to other Conditional Access systems as well.
