27M-designed box receives "Best terrestrial STB in Sweden" award

A 27M-designed terrestrial box has been judged the best set-top box by Sweden's Provnings- och forskningsinstitut SP (the Swedish Testing and Research Institute). SP tested seven set-top boxes on the Swedish market and the Smartbox T-20 was declared the winner by far with the total score of 4.8 out of 5 points. According to the test, the 27M-designed STB had a smooth channel handling and was the easiest box to install. In addition, it had the lowest price of all the set-top boxes in the test. 27M Technologies has developed the complete software platform as well as the hardware design for the winning STB.

The evaluation included technical specification, picture quality, user friendliness and how good the STB could tune to a weak signal.
